Santa Rosa Backyard Wedding

I love seeing friends get married. I guess you could say every client becomes my friend but Bill and I knew each other from working together many years ago for Taylor Maid Coffee (now Taylor Lane) located in The Barlow in Sebastopol, CA. I quickly became fast friends with his wife Katy over the several months (over a year, I believe ) of planning and throughout the many changes due to COVID they pulled off a spectacular and intimate backyard wedding at a family home in Santa Rosa, CA.

Katy’s fairytale flower crown and bouquet were crafted by Full Bloom Flower Farm in Sebastopol, CA and her hair & makeup was by Alisse Nicole Natural Beauty—all of which still looked amazing after a full-day in the sweltering 90 degree heat. I, on the other hand, was melting. Before the ceremony Katy had a brief first look with her father which was especially sentimental as she was wearing her mother’s dress, and that was followed by a first look with Bill. After the ceremony we headed across the street to a park for family formals and the vintage couch they toted to Inverness for their engagement shoot made a guest appearance. After we enjoyed our individually packaged meals, we met at Shiloh Regional Park for romantic couples portraits and returned to the family home for some dancing 6 feet apart.
