Santa Rosa Maternity Photos
It totally didn’t occur to me how busy Crane Creek Regional Park would be over Thanksgiving weekend for this maternity shoot but like…duh! My friend, Amanda, and I had been planning this shoot months in advance for her sister’s visit to Santa Rosa and so many other people had the same idea. As is the new normal, it was a COVID compliant maternity shoot and we easily followed all safety guidelines, staying 6 feet apart and wearing our masks. Obviously she removed her mask occasionally at a safe distance. Realistically, I’m almost always 6 feet apart for most of my shoots anyway so it’s not that different. The main difference is that I do wear my mask the entire shoot which steams up my glasses and view screen and creates a “fun” challenge. You may recognize the baby booties from my shoot with Alok and Pranjal, although I gifted that couple the booties at the end of their shoot, I was not surprised to see them again for this new maternity shoot, they’re hella cute! Don’t underestimate Target when you’re looking for last-minute props. I was also super impressed with the quality of the flower crown ordered off of Amazon for this session, you don’t have to break the bank for fun maternity shoot accessories. Something simple like a crown or some dangly earrings can take your photos from everyday to epic, that and an amazing photographer, of course.
