What Makes The Haven at Tomales So Unique?
Set on a working farm in Northern California, The Haven is the kind of venue that photographers and couples fall in love with for a multitude of reasons:
- Cows literally greeted me in the driveway. Yes, it’s that charming.
- The getting ready areas are spacious and filled with natural light, which is a dream for portraits and spending time with your favorite people.
- You’ve got 1000 acres to play with, including rolling hills, a eucalyptus grove, and a serene pond.
- Their massive lawn and covered patio make weather worries disappear.
- And, if you’re a barn-wedding enthusiast? This one’s huge, beautiful and fully built to host an unforgettable party.

Personal Touches, Playful Vibes and So Much Love
Annie and Andrew met on online, which is actually how a lot of my couples meet and even how my partner + I met! Their wedding was a total reflection of everything they are together: fun-loving, thoughtful and totally in sync. They’re best friends just as much as they are partners and that showed in every moment of their wedding day at The Haven.
One of the most memorable parts of the celebration was during the father of the bride’s speech. He shared how the couple has season passes to Disneyland and it’s not unusual for them to work all week, hit the road Friday night, spend a full day at the park, then drive right back to get to work on Monday.

It was the perfect story to show just how much they love experiencing life together and how much joy they find in their adventures!
Some of the standout wedding moments included:
- Andrew’s reaction at the first look and their private vows
- Annie’s long veil, which was SO much fun for their wedding portraits
- Flower-men tossing petals down the aisle like absolute legends
- A live artist drawing guest portraits in real time (which is such a cool touch!)
- Local Hog Island Oysters served up as part of the ultra-fresh, local food, which was super important for Annie and Andrew to have included in their day
- A cigar bar that was truly the place to be at the end of the night for tons of guests that were laughing and having a great time
- Custom t-shirts the couple made for guests who happened to share their birthday the same date as Annie and Andrew’s wedding
- An ice cream cart during dessert from Nimble & Finn’s
