Boho Spring Portraits on Petaluma Ranch
I live for creative shoots! I collaborated with another photographer, Jen Saltzer, to create a fun environment to make this country girl shine. The days were getting longer, the sun was shining, wildflowers were springing up…we wanted to create some fun Springtime shots incorporating flowers. That’s it, a creative concept does not have to be complicated, sometimes a props, an idea, a space, an emotion— that’s all you need to create something beautiful. The original concept also included a clothesline with white sheets which looked equally breathtaking, but my real inspiration came from incorporating a nearby barn, and the results were magical. I also loved plating with the harsh light and crisp shadows created by the setting sun. (You can check out Jen’s incredible work from white sheet portion of our shoot here: Photography by JRS ). We also collaborated with my friends at Fading West Jewels to provide their handcrafted jewelry and assist with styling. Together we created this awe-inspiring celebration of spring, sunshine and sensuality :)
