When I say I do family photos in Sonoma County, I really mean all of Sonoma County (and often beyond), and I always enjoy the beautiful drive up Highway 1 from my house in Petaluma all the way to Sea Ranch. It may seem like options are fairly limited in Sea Ranch for Family Photos as it’s so small but there is a plethora of hidden trails and coastal views to explore.
This multi-generational family wanted to document their family trip to Sea Ranch with family photography and pinned a favorite trail they had found during their visit. I’m always happy to suggest locations for a family session however, whether you’re documenting a family trip or you live here in Sonoma County, it’s far more impactful to choose a location that actually resonates with you. The way you feel about a location will come through in the photos and something of significance is just going to carry a heavier memory when you look at the photos.
They had so much character and grandma and grandpa looked totally cute giving each other little smooches. It’s seriously so fun when I can tell people are creating some core memories during their session. Enjoy!
