If you’re getting married in Petaluma,

You want the rolling hills, the golden light, the farm tables, the good food—but none of the pressure to turn your day into a performance.

Everything feels a little more relaxed out here.

Not too polished, not too remote—just really, really good. And you probably want a wedding that feels the same way.

chances are you didn’t pick it by accident.

Petaluma weddings just make sense

There’s something about Petaluma that hits the sweet spot.

  • Rolling hills that glow at golden hour
  • Farms and open space without feeling remote
  • Venues that feel intentional but not overdesigned

It’s relaxed without being boring. Beautiful without trying too hard.

And most importantly—it leaves room for your wedding to actually feel like yours.

All are welcome here.

All love, all bodies, all kinds of families — come as you are. I’ll meet you there.

My approach:

I’m not here to stage your entire day or turn it into a content shoot.

But I’m also not disappearing into the background and hoping something interesting happens. I’ll:
  • Step in when you need direction
  • Back off when you don’t
  • Keep things moving without making it feel rushed

So you can be in it—not performing it.

documentary, but make it helpful

Petaluma venues I know (and love)

These aren’t places I’ve bookmarked on Instagram and hope to shoot at someday. I’ve worked here. I know the light, the flow, and where things tend to get really good.

Flying Cloud Farm

Open fields, a relaxed layout, and just enough structure to keep things easy without over-controlling the day. It leans a little rustic, a little free-spirited, and it photographs beautifully without needing much from you.

Olympia’s Valley

Wide open views and that classic Petaluma hometown glow. The kind of place where timelines feel flexible, the light does most of the work, and everything just flows.

Garden Valley Ranch

Rose gardens, tucked-away corners, and a more intimate feel without losing that outdoor Petaluma charm. Great for weddings that want a little softness without going full fairytale.

The Haven at Tomales

Just outside Petaluma and very much part of the landscape. Open, coastal-adjacent, and perfect for weddings that want space to breathe and do their own thing.

A little wild, in the best way

Big skies, golden light, zero stress

Lush, layered, and quietly romantic

(Technically not Petaluma, but we’re counting it)

Garden Valley Ranch

Lush gardens, bold color, and a day that felt intentional without being overly curated. It had that perfect balance—beautiful, but still relaxed enough for people to actually be in it. Equal parts heartfelt and fun, with just the right amount of chaos to keep things interesting.

Romantic, but not taking itself too seriously

Olympia’s Valley

One of those days where everything lined up—the light, the energy, the people. Sunset hit, everyone leaned in, and it felt less like a timeline and more like a really good evening unfolding.

Golden hour that understood the assignment

The Haven

Some places are beautiful but not built for weddings. The Haven is both. From the curated getting-ready spaces to the way the property flows, everything feels intentional without being overdone. It has that open, coastal-farm feel people are always chasing—but with a structure that actually supports the day. This one leaned all the way in: relaxed, sun-soaked, and the kind of iconic farm wedding that didn’t have to try too hard.

Thoughtfully designed, effortlessly iconic

"Loren's  documentary style is wonderfully raw and emotional, and we are so grateful to have had her as a photographer for such an important day in our lives. She was everywhere, bouncing around our chaos and was able to capture the most beautiful and very silly moments of our friends and family helping everything come together."

- Shea G. (Wedding Client)

"wonderfully raw and emotional"

“Loren is so friendly with a sense of humor that always puts you at ease. [Our wedding photos] were not only beautiful, but captured the essence of the love, joy, and celebration that we and our guests felt that day.”

“Loren is one of the best photographers I have ever met. She is so easy to work with, she’s generous, she cares and she becomes a friend.”

- Claire B. (Portrait Client)

"one of the best photographers I have ever met."

A few things about getting married in Petaluma:

  • Golden hour here is very real—worth planning around
  • It can, and will, get breezy (embrace it, it looks good in photos)
  • A lot of these venues are sprawling, which is part of the magic—but also means it helps to have someone who knows how to use the space

If you want help making the most of the light and the layout, I’ve got you.

…and you want photos that feel like your day—not a version of it that was staged for the internet—I’m in.

No weird posing marathons. No pressure to perform. No turning your wedding into a production. Just a really good day, documented honestly.

If you’re planning a Petaluma wedding…

If Petaluma is your place and this sounds like your kind of energy, reach out and tell me what you’re planning.

I want to hear all of it—the venue, the vibe, the slightly unhinged ideas, the stuff you’re most excited about.
We’ll make something real out of it.
